The Round Barn Theatre

The Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres is a performing arts festival in its own right. Five Broadway musicals join Plain and Fancy on the Joseph Stein Stage of The Round Barn Theatre over a ten month season. Additional Second Stage productions, staged readings, and Young Actors Studio productions fill the season's bill. more

The Fantasticks

Purchase Tickets Online hereThe Fantasticks opens the 2008 main stage season on April 15 and runs through June 1. The Fantasticks opened in 1960 off-Broadway and by the time the final curtain was brought down in 2002, had played 17,162 performances thus becoming the longest running musical in U.S. history.

Fittingly Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt wrote The Fantasticks for a summer theatre production at Barnard College. “Try to Remember” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain” became part of the national culture. In reflection the Wall Street Journal called The Fantasticks “The Perfect Musical” upon its revival in 2006.

Willy Wonka

Hot on its heels is the high school actor's production of Willy Wonka as part of the Joseph Stein Young Actors Studio. Students from a dozen northern Indiana schools join together under the direction of Regina Warren, the theatre's education director and productioin stage manager.
