The Round Barn Theatre is Northern Indiana's only professional repertory theatre company, making it the perfect place to present the classics of Musical Theatre that never go out of style.Actors audition from across the country, live in cast housing on Amish Acres property, and perform in up to nine shows per week. "Coming of Age" is a relative thing; we all experience it, and we’ve chosen 21 as the symbol of this part of life’s journey.Because The Round Barn Theatre has been presenting repertory theatre for 21 years,we’ve chosen to design our season around shows that are Coming of Age stories of love and discovery.

From the first date to marriage and beyond in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change to Elle Woods turning blonde into a legal eagle in Legally Blonde,to Katie Yoder and Peter Reber’s long sought love in Plain and Fancy.Throw in Sister Deloris finding her voice in the chapel choir in Sister Act, and Sarah Brown attempting to save sinners in our revival of Guys and Dolls, and you have a recipe for magic! The Mousetrap came of age when it opened in the West End of London in 1952, and has been running continuously ever since. It has by far the longest initial run of any play in history, with its 25,000th performance taking place in 2012. And for the holidays, Disney's The Little Mermaid's arises from the sea to find her true love on land. The season runs from April 12th through December 31st and will include nearly 400 performances, typically in six week runs, making it the busiest stage in Indiana. The popular Second Stage productions will return withThe Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). The usual complement of Theatre for Young Audience productions and summer acting camps, will round out the 2017 season.

The Round Barn Theatre's stage is dedicated to Joseph Stein, who co-wrote the book for Plain and Fancy, which was the first new musical to hit Broadway in 1955. It ran for 462 performances. Now after thirty years, The Round Barn Theatre's perennial production has surpassed 3,600 performances being seen by over 355,000 patrons.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a musical comedy with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. With 5,000 performances, it is the second-longest running Off Broadway musical. It is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as "the relationship". This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, "Say, what are you doing Saturday night?"

The band members of the Save-a-Soul Mission, led by the pious and beautiful Sergeant Sarah Brown, call for sinners to "Follow the Fold" and repent. Detroit enters into a bet with Sky Masterson in the hopes of continuing his game “under” the law. “A Bushel and a Peck,” “If I Were a Bell,” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” are all-time musical theatre standards that are always hard to get out of your head.
