Plain and Fancy

A New Yorker and his sophisticated girlfriend drive down around Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to sell a piece of property. Here they meet the Amish folk, whose convoluted English speech, clothes and habits haven’t changed for centuries. This year celebrates the 28th season of Plain and Fancy at Amish Acres.
Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail
May 30 - October 1
Amish Acres Quilt Mural is featured on the Greeting Barn to welcome visitors to the farm from May 3- - October 1. It celebrates the Blue Bird Thing featured in Plain and Fancy on The Round Barn Theatre stage. It is part of the Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail. More than a million vibrant blooms, 20 gigantic gardens and 21 hand-painted super-sized murals, sevem welcoming communities.
The Quilt Gardens... along the Heritage Trail joins quilting, gardening and art into a one-of-a-kind event. A colorful patchwork of quilt inspired gardens and quilt-themed murals linked by the roads that form the Heritage Trail. Every quilt garden and quilt mural has its own intricate pattern, many are original designs, and each has its own unique story. Footlose the Musical

Little Women the Broadway Musical

Fall Harvest Days

Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons in Indiana with its cool, comfortable days and crisp October evenings. Amish Acres Historic Farm and Heritage Resort will be decorated for the season with corn shocks, pumpkins and scarecrows galore! Visitors will enjoy the Harvest Market featuring crisp fall apples and of course pumpkins, along with gourds, squash, bittersweet, and Indian corn.

Adapted from The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, this Pulitzer Prize winning Drama tells the story the Franks, a Jewish family who spent two years in hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. The diary was retrieved by Miep Gies, who gave it to Anne’s father, Otto Frank, the only known survivor of the family.

The secular traditions and festivities that surround and symbolize Easter create a spring stir on the farm. An Easter egg hunt for 1,000 hidden eggs in the courtyard brings out a vigorous group of kids of all ages. A coloring contest in the Barn Loft Grill provides a place for families to wait for their tables while the kids did their best to stay within the lines--easier for some than others.
